History

Our family business started back around 1910 (the first dated material we found). Fred Moyer started his plumbing business here on the same block that we currently are located at on North 10th Street. Early photos show Fred with the horses he used to haul around his plumbing wagon to jobs in the city. Fred was a dedicated plumber and thought nothing of working late into the evening to see that a job was completed.

In 1954, Fred's son Fred joined the business doing laborer work for his dad and brother, John Worman. If you ask Dad today what he did when he first started out, he will tell you he dug a lot of ditches and accompanied his brother John on a lot of work. He learned much of this trade from them and through plumbing school at Allentown High School, now William Allen High School. Fred attended night school through the Lehigh County Vo-tech school and eventually earned his Journeyman and then his Master Plumbing License.

Fred's father passed away in 1965 and then it was up to Fred to keep things moving. At that point in time Fred's brother John was still with the company, and they both worked hard keeping things moving.

Today Fred is joined in business with two of his sons, Frederick the III and Darren, as well as his daughter Melissa in the office.
